Cherokee Woodcutting: November 5-11, 2011

Plan to join us for this annual mission experience in the mountains of western North Carolina as we partner with the tribe and local church in providing firewood for the senior citizens of the Qualla Boundary to use as a heating source during winter. This opportunity is open to adults of all ages and denominations and historically is attended by people of faith from all over the southeast. The task is to prepare firewood, but our goal is spiritual fellowship and growth.

The cost for this mission experience is $200.00 ($175.00 if registering before October 3rd) which covers housing at Cherokee United Methodist Church, food, UMVIM insurance, and equipment cost. For more information about this trip, please call the mission office at 423-224-1531 or email dhowe@fbsumc.org.
