First Broad Street offers an opportunity for the men of the congregation to share together in fellowship and service.  UMM meets monthly on the fourth Monday evening at 6:30 PM for supper and a program ranging from civic interests to spiritual inspiration.  The group also participates in planned fundraisers and special activities.  These are announced in the Spires and bulletin or can be found on the church website.

Steve and Diantha Hodges will discuss their departure on August 16 to live in southern Sudan.
The August UMM event will be joining the Boy Scouts at Wimberly Woods Retreat Center. They will prepare our evening meal and share with us about their scouting experiences. Please call the reservation line at 423-224-1502.
 
hopehavenThe United Methodist Men are partnering with Hope Haven in a yard sale to raise funds for the overnight shelter here in Kingsport. The yard sale is scheduled for Saturday, July 31st from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and will be held in the Fellowship Hall and FBSUMC parking lot. Volunteers will be needed to assist in setting up, assisting with the sale, take down after it is finished and securing and pricing items for the sale.
