The Connection Band/Singers are composed of musicians who come together once a week to:  a) learn about leading worship through the art of music and b) rehearse the songs for the upcoming contemporary worship services.  Instrumentalists include bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboard, drums, percussion, violin, and flute. The Drum Circle is a group of people who gather  to play hand drums and/or percussion instruments in a circle. They do not meet to perform for anyone (although there may be bystanders who stop to listen) but rather to communicate with each other through one simple beat that connects to another beat that connects to more complex beats and rhythm patterns which altogether create energy and excitement in everyone there!  It is facilitated by members of FBSUMC.  Its mission is twofold: a) to support the Downtown area with family/friendly activities and b) to meet the spiritual needs of the unchurched.
