Beginning in September I will be the Director of Singles and Young Adults at FBSUMC. I have been at First Broad Street since 2004 and look forward to this new opportunity to work with singles. I am single with two sons, ages 11 and 14 and am originally from WV. A local group of musical friends, the Towne Squares, has been entertaining the Kingsport community for several years and will be with us this evening to bring some fun, eclectic music and a little bit of Christmas magic. Louise Ammons, Tammie Davis, Lauren Chapman, Tammy Porter, Martha Funke and Retta Overturf enjoy sharing their collective talents and getting you to participate in a Christmas sing-along. Invite a friend and join them for a wonderful evening of fellowship!
Menu: Turkey and Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Rolls, and Dessert.
The cost of dinner is $6.00 and reservations must be made by Friday, December 12 at 224-1502.
RECREATION FOR SINGLES
Volleyball will be held on Friday’s beginning October 10, from 6:30 PM—8:30 PM in the Woodyard Center Gym (200 East Church Circle) for all singles and young adults! Come enjoy some recreational fellowship with a variety of people from the Kingsport area.
CHURCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE
First Broad Street UMC will have a team in the Fall Church Softball Leauge. This is open to all singles and young adults so please contact me if you want to be part of the team. The first game will be on October 26th.
