FAITHFUL FRIENDS SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
During the month of August, a new adult Sunday school class, Faithful Friends, will be started for those who may have difficulty sitting through a worship setting. This class will enable caregivers to attend church without having to worry about their loved ones. Each caregiver will be given a pager and a nurse will be on call every Sunday. The class will meet in the parlor and we will have a time of fellowship, music, prayer, personal sharing and a lesson. If you are a Caregiver and would like to have your loved one try this special class, please give Margaret Deans a call at 224- 1513. PEN PAL, ANYONE?
This fall the college ministry is kicking off a pen pal correspondence ministry in conjunction with Forever Young. We are asking volunteers to write notes of encouragement to our young people away at school. College is a challenging time and these students need all the help they can get. As a participant, your pen and paper would be your ministry tools. Please consider being part of this intergenerational ministry. You don’t have to be a good writer, spell correctly, or even use proper grammar! The only thing you have to do is share the love of Christ to a young person who is at a place where he or she needs it the most. If you are interested, please contact Jarrod Suits at 224-1516 or email jsuits@fbsumc.org. Thank you for your time and prayers. Please sign up today, you are needed!!
